The flutter of her eyelids, the firm hold of her hands on his ribs, the press of her face to his shoulder, lips parting to yawn and smooch at any piece of him near enough. She’s groggy and dense in the mornings, only time she’s not a spastic bundle of energy. And he coaxes her to stay awake a little sooner than need be so that he can in fact kiss down her sleep warm body and taste what he’s been using as a promise for himself all night. 🥹

"Right lad I need you to be very gentle when mummy comes in ok?" Trent explained to your four-year-old son sat patiently on the couch. His eyes were soft and his mind was full of excitement due to the new arrival, he was finally a big brother.

"Ok daddy" Arlo replied with a smile as he messed with the sleeves of his hoodie and looked up at his father.

"Promise"

"Promise," Both boys said with smiles as they connected pinkie fingers with huge smiles before Trent wandered out of the room. You saw him gently shut the door with a tranquil look on his face. You had your new bundle of joy resting in your arms, she was a creation of pure love and elegance, and she was perfect.

"Are you ready?" Trent softly asked as he stood closer to you and looked down at his newfound love. He was completely besotted with his own smaller version of you, he couldn't take his eyes off her.

"Yeah I think we are ready" You whispered as you looked right into your husband's eyes and then back to your arms. Your eyes were heavy and you didn't think your body could ever be this exhausted again but your heart was full and bursting with love. Trent quickly opened the living room door open and revealed the face of the happiest 4-year-old.

"Mummy!" Arlo shouted with a toothy grin as he watched you wander in with a large smile and your arms full. Trent quickly smiled at how excited his little boy got at the arrival of his mum, their reactions every time you come home are normally the same - excitable, loud and crazy. What else would you want?

"Hi, Arlo" You softly spoke as you gently made your way towards your son. Trent was first to make a beeline to move every cushion or what he classed as a hazard out of your way. "Do you want to hold her?" You asked as you slowly sat down next to him, his eyes followed your every step and wanted nothing more than to meet his little sister.

"Yes please, mummy" Arlo politely answered with a smile before you slowly and carefully gave him the tiny newborn. His hands were delicate and his actions were gentle. Trent crouched down in front of you both as his hands were also supporting her small head. "She is tiny" He explained with a giggle as he looked down and then back up to you.

"You were that small once," You said with a smile as you watched the small interaction between the two. Arlo lightly kissed the top of his sister's head causing you and Trent to both look at each other in amazement. You couldn't have asked for anything better.

"Do you like her then lad?" Trent asked with a laugh as he gently took the bundle of blankets and a small body away from his embrace.

"I love her," Arlo said "When can you have another?" He quickly asked not letting Trent reply with any other words. You couldn't help but laugh at the almost crazy question which had been given to you. Your little boy's innocence was everything to you.

"When the stalk comes and gives us another baby" Trent explained with a wink to you as his fingers were now occupied by his daughter's hands wrapping around them. She was just like you, wanting nothing more than to be with Trent, even in a room full of people.

Thank you for helping people like me understand that its okay to want to be a little baby boy...society has made me think I need to be a man and have a wife. But it never felt right....I want to be a little baby boy with a mommy and even daddy. I want to be a little bundle of joy that makes them happy and they love to care for...

Well in my humble opinion society sucks my darling. It takes a very brave person to understand who they are and embrace that. You should be so proud of yourself for knowing what you need. I’m sure you’d be the most amazing bundle of joy any mummy and/or daddy could ever wish for.

It would be just the two of us! It’d be so fun! Nature is very therapeutic~ Sleeping under the stars in a hammock, or cuddling in our tent if it rains. And it’d be fun to make our own little nature documentary of all the animals we spot during the day! You can even narrate~

Of course, we’d have to wait for the right temperatures because I cannot handle the extreme cold 🥶. Though that may be a nice incentive to cuddle some more… but then again, you’re a walking incentive to cuddle. 🥰 🤗

Juniper’s Story is a continuation of my Girl Dad series with Tommy…but this time we’re focusing on the third beautiful bundle of joy that they welcomed into the family: Juniper. I don’t have much planned out for it, but I’m excited to be able to tell the littlest lady Shelby’s story.

Sentimental is another one that’s still pretty vague at the moment. It takes place on Tommy’s daughter’s wedding day - just before he walks her down the aisle…it’s one of the few times we see a tough gangster get all sentimental.
